Begging is one of important growing issues of Pakistan which has not been taken into account seriously. The situation analysis of begging in different areas of Pakistan. I choose this topic because it is one of growing issues giving birth to different main issues like street crime, theft, robbery, suppression of poor, violence and exploitation. Pakistan is facing street begging at an alarming ratio.

Begging is requesting for donation in a supplicating manner, also it is one of the oldest professions on earth like prostitution but other nations have taken some serious actions to reduce it whereas in Pakistan this trend of begging increasing day by day.

Zakat and Sadqa are two important obligations which should be accessible to poor and needy people. The system of zakat should be transparent and it’s our responsibility to ensure eligibility of a receiver.

· We should take some initiatives like to arrange different workshops, training and skills program so that they can really earn their future living.

· Job opportunities should be provided to the eligible people who really have skills and training.

· There should be strict enforcement of law, police should have power to punish those who are responsible for bring them on streets.

· Especially children rights should be ensured ad establish institution mechanism for child protecting issues.

· Public should discourage this illegal begging instead of encouraging it. There should be awareness programs against this begging, so that only deserving people could get aid.

· Above few points could be achieved through awareness campaign of electronic and social media which has great influence on our lives.

· We should generate funds to deal with vagrancy, beggary ad exploitation which is caused by begging.

Begging is now one of the organized crime and it need to be eliminated by serious policy formulation and planning. It needs to be eliminated from the society because it is producing a dependent person which is something dangerous for development and progress of a country.

2. RECYCLING AND REUSE

Many recyclables become contaminated when item are placed in the wrong bin, or when a dirty food container gets into the recycling bin. Contamination can prevent large batches material from being recycled.

Recycling is very important as waste has a huge negative impact on the natural environment. Harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from rubbish in landfill sites. Recycling helps to reduce the pollution caused by waste. … Recycling reduces the need for raw materials so that the rainforests can be preserved.

REASONS OF RECYCLING:

1. Reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators.

2. Conserves natural resources such as timber, water and minerals.

3. Increase economic security by tapping a domestic source of materials.

4. Prevents pollution by reducing the need to collect new raw material.

5. Saves energy.

DO RECYCLE:

1. Rigid plastics/bottles- any plastic bottles or containers found in your kitchen.

2. Paper and cardboard- cereal/snack cardboard boxes.

3. Metals — tin, aluminum, and steel cans.

4. Loose plastic bags-plastic shopping bags,

5. Polystyrene foam cups or containers.

6. Soiled food items.

7. Other.

STEPS OF RECYCLING:

1. Collection and processing

2. Manufacturing

3. Purchasing recycled-content products.

COLLECTION:

In the first step of the recycling process, the recyclables materials are collected.

The methods of collection may vary from community to community. However, there are four methods of collection, namely curbside, drop-off centers, buy-back centers, and deposit/refund programs.

After collection, the recyclables are then sent to a materials-recovery facility to be sorted and prepared into marketable commodities to be sold to processing companies.

PROCESSING:

In the second step of the recycling process, the recyclables are processed. Once cleaned and sorted, the recyclables are processed to retrieve the raw materials, and the raw materials are then used in manufacturing recycled-content products.

All recyclables need to broken down, melted or liquefied into its basic elements, before it can be either made directly into new materials or mixed with virgin resources and made into new materials.

However, the methods of processing for different materials varies. For example, recyclables like glass, aluminum cans and steel need to be melted into a liquid form and then remolded into new products. Recyclables such as glass, paper and certain plastic products may have to be crushed, or shredded, as part of the processing to extract the basic elements or raw materials (eg. fibre in paper) for use in making new products.

MANUFACTURING:

Recycling is a manufacturing process. At its core, recycling is more about making our manufacturing and consumption more sustainable than it is about landfilling or waste management. … If your only goal is to keep stuff out of the landfill, littering does that as well as recycling.

An effective manufacturing recycling solution should create a seamless process from waste creation to waste disposal, and minimize waste at source. It is also important to make sure that waste materials that can be re-used, recycled or sold out are collected and handled properly.

PURCHASING RECYCLED-CONTENT PRODUCTS:

The fourth step involves purchasing recycled products. This fourth step completes the recycling loop.

More and more of today’s products are being manufactured with total or partial recycled content.

Whether you are just an individual consumer, or are a part of a government or business organization, you have an important role in making recycling a success by “buying recycled”. As consumers demand more environmentally sound products, manufacturers will continue to meet that demand by producing high-quality recycled products.

CONCLUSION:

When considering starting a recycling business, you should first research this area to determine if it is feasible and would generate a profit. Depending on the type of business, you may want to create a business plan, research the competition, and review your location’s business recycling policy. This information can help you decide if your business idea can turn into a profitable recycling business.
